A BELOVED Toyota model is being discontinued as the brand plans to make a major shift.
The model first debuted in the 1980s and helped put the car company on the map.
Toyota is discontinuing the Supra again, after previously retiring the sportscar model in 1998.
To mark the car’s second retirement, Toyota has released a special variation of the 2026 Toyota GR Supra called Final Edition.
The base price for the vehicle is $69,745.
The Supra rose to popularity in the 1980s and 90s, but was later discontinued.

Toyota brought the car back in 2019 and shared development costs with BMW – the model even has a BMW engine.
The entire car was manufactured by BMW in Germany and designed by Toyota, which made it controversial.
While some were glad Toyota’s star sports car model was back on the lot, others didn’t like that it was a BMW with a Toyota logo.
Despite Toyota choosing to retire the car again after just seven years on the market, there are rumors that the Supra will be on the streets again.

The brand could possibly debut a new generation of Supras with hybrid power, ABC affiliate KABC reported.
In the meantime, Toyota’s sub-brand Gazoo Racing is rolling out a new hybrid sportscar.
The upcoming GR GT will more closely resemble a Porsche 911, and will likely be similarly expensive.
