A REAL-life haunted house is open for stays on Airbnb – and guests can look for ghosts with complimentary paranormal equipment.
The historic home has served many purposes over the last 100 years, including as a morgue, funeral home, church, and museum.
The Historic Morgue in Ozark, Missouri, gives guests a real paranormal experience in a themed historic property.
The home is set up loft-style with a king bed, full size bed, twin and an vintage settee to sleep six guests.
The Historic Morgue is decorated with antique decor, including a clawfoot tub from the 1900s, and filled with modern amenities.
At the front of the property, there are two original church doors and a door leading to the morgue.

The sanctuary and basement aren’t private to guests, but they have access to the living area and backyard.
While encountering a ghost isn’t guaranteed, numerous paranormal investigators have made contact with spirits.
For guests who want to do their own investigation, the host provides a spirit box, an EMF detector, and dowsing rods.
“We’ve had three paranormal investigations, and in all three of them, the teams have had a lot of success with communications,” Alta Bivens, the property’s owner, told Fox affiliate KRBK.

She added that the spirits are peaceful and not malevolent.
Bivens recommended that to be safe, guests should thank the spirits and ask that they do not follow them home.
The home is also close to downtown Ozark and the Finley River, so guests can take a break from ghost hunting for shopping and sightseeing.
The host notes that there are no refunds for guests who get spooked and leave the property mid-stay.
The price varies depending on the dates selected, but the a stay at the morgue generally costs around $150 a night.
